The Second World War in North Africa and Sicily in thousands of shots taken by the American photographer and now digitized by the Oelle Foundation and entrusted to the care and study of the historian Ezio Costanzo. They represent an important source for for the history of photography and students who, by visiting the Pavilion, are able to immerse themselves in a piece of contemporary history.
At Phil Stern, students conduct research, in-depth studies and graduate theses.

Phil Stern's Lectio magistralis to Photography students
of the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania

July 4, 2013. During his stay in Sicily, Phil Stern held a Lectio Magistralis to the Photography students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania. A lesson in life and work experience that aroused much interest in the students who also had the opportunity to show some of their works to the great American master.
